”I bought a copy at an open day and I thought; wow, if this is what students at this University can create, I want to come here. It's why I chose Exeter University.
I set up Life Nature Magazine as an outlet to explore Science Communication. I realised there wasn’t a way for people who were enthusiastic about nature, writing and photography to get together all on one platform, and so Life was born. By collecting together some good thinkers, writers, graphic designers and photographers we created a professional, glossy publication.
The magazine is only 32 pages, so to keep it cohesive and give it a direction, each issue has a theme. The first issues theme was ‘Birth and the early life stages’, the second ‘the weird and wonderful’ and the third ‘from dusk until dawn’.
I’m really proud of what we created and that it lives on years after we have passed it on. Life is a brilliant opportunity for the students of Falmouth and Exeter Universities, who share a campus, to collaborate on an amazing project.
