I’m passionate about engaging people, be that through fantastic, elaborate events, smaller workshops or through science writing and graphic design. I’m an experienced project manager, an elaborate event organiser, a trained conservationist and a passionate writer. You can find more information about my projects on this website. I’m currently working freelance, so get in touch with me if you think I could help your project.
I attended the University of Exeter’s Cornwall Campus, graduating 1st class with Dean’s Commendation for Academic Performance. My degree was diverse and in depth, creating a broad understanding of conservation, ecology, behaviour, and a solid appreciation of scientific practices and terminology.
I am passionate about bringing science to life. I love translating a brief into a beautiful design that communicates a clear message, or an in depth article that provides intrigue and interest. You can see samples of my more creative work on this website, but I’m also experienced with press releases and other formats.
I love to engage people with their environments, and I have experience doing this through organising a multitude of projects and community events. This ranges from technical apps and digital magazines to messy nature days. These days themselves vary from large scale BioBlitzes to bring together and educate entire communities, to small habitat managementĀ or identification workshops.
I am experienced in organising fine scale logistics including risk assessments, budget management and permit booking, as well as planning schedules of events to span long periods in order to fulfil a programme. I have done this with the help of groups of motivated volunteers, an invaluable resource.
